Non-surgical and surgical intervention for the shoulder is complicated by the complexity of pathology and ever changing literature. This two-day course will equip the participant with the ability to differentially diagnose and treat various surgical and non-surgical shoulder conditions across various ages and activity levels. Participants will glean a greater understanding of surgical and non-surgical decision making, as well as post-surgical treatment strategies. Return to function and sport will also be detailed, including return to work and sport testing dependent on the specific individual you are treating.
OBJECTIVES:
- Refine and streamline your assessment and management of the most common shoulder problems
- Explore and describe shoulder anatomy, biomechanics, and pathology; as well as limitations as found in the literature.
- Explore best evidence for diagnosis, and treatment of various shoulder pathologies across the spectrum of heterogeneous patients.
- Prescribe and implement various levels of shoulder exercise programs, including progression/regression of exercises as well as workload monitoring.
